How long will Botox last?

Wrinkle relaxation treatments (known as Botox) should definitely last longer than a few weeks, but how much longer varies. First time wrinkle relaxation users, for example, might experience the treatment wearing off in less than 3 months. However, as facial muscles get conditioned to the Botulinum, results should lengthen. Wrinkle relaxation injections around the eyes can also last shorter than 3 months. Men, on the other hand, tend to need more treatment than women. Whatever the case, Botox results should generally last around 3 months, give or take a few days.

If you find that your wrinkle relaxation treatment wears off really fast, speak to the person who gave you the injections to find out why (i.e. your anatomy requires a different technique, you might be resistant to Botox, etc). A reputable doctor, nurse practitioner or dentist will work with you to figure out how to make the treatments worth your time and money. Keep in mind that Botox takes time to kick in – approximately 1-4 days to be noticeable and 2 weeks to peak.

Wrinkle relaxation treatments are not permanent and at Shore Aesthetics your treatment plan will be personally designed for your own budget and needs.

Treatments should be performed every 3-4 months to help maintain a consistent appearance. These periods can potentially be delayed after one year by a few months each time as your wrinkles become lighter.

🦠 Covid 19 Update 🦠

This strain of Covid is more deadly than the previous strains, numbers are still high and very precarious.

The vaccine is going to help but in the mean time we can’t loose sight of what we need to do.

As a regulated healthcare professional able to operate to safe standards in a safe environment, I am not required to close for medical treatments, however, I do have a duty to play my part in protecting public health and so would encourage all my patients who feel they can wait to trust me to do my very best to accommodate everyone once this lockdown lifts.

In the meantime, I do recognise that for some, the treatments I provide are seen as very important for psychological well-being and for those who are anxious about their treatment plans, I will be available for on-line assessment and limited appointments for those who have an urgent medical need for treatment and care which cannot wait, and subject to assessment.
